Steve died from a heart attack while working
in his garden in Waltham, Massachusetts.
He also be greatly missed.
He did graduate work at Konstanz University, considered part of Germany’s Ivy League (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Konstanz)
and his doctoral thesis is in the library there. Poetic discourse and self-enactment: a study of Wordsworth’s and Coleridge’s new mode of writing

I met Steve when he lived at Baker House. Steve was an interesting and intelligent individualist. He was tall, thin and had a scraggly beard. He worked hard to earn very high grades and was an inspiration to those who knew him. Simply put, Steve was a good guy. JM
